Clear braces??

Ok, so I'm just now getting braces and I'm going to get clear braces in about 2 weeks. I have an overjet (my teeth protrude more than normal) and I was wondering will my mouth look extremely bulky when I get the braces on??





Should I get clear braces on top and metal one's on the bottom?


I'm getting clear on top either way because I DETEST the idea of metal mouth lol


But I want to know the pro's/con's...

even though it sounds like your set on clear DONT GET IT seirosuly, it makes your teeth look deformed and it could turn yellow ( GROSS )

Initially, your face will look different, but people will adjust quickly and very soon, they won't notice a thing.





Your standard metal braces are a bit of an eyesore, but they work faster and better than everything else. Personally, I think you should get them off ASAP, which would mean getting the fugly metal ones and wearing the elastics. It sucks for now but is definitely worth it in the long run.





Pretty soon, guys won't even notice. I've had my braces for about as long as I've been with my boyfriend, and he doesn't seem to mind.
Reply:i have friends that have braces you cant notice then if they are clear but there is this guy in my class he has purple and blue braces they look kool
Reply:a con with the clear is they turn yellow no way around it, but i mean it's not bad enough to be a problem. and i don't think the braces will make your mouth protrude more. when i had mine you couldn't tell unless i smiled. hope this helped good luck :D
Reply:i like colored braces better because clear braces is like your trying to hide it but colored is sorta showing ur embracing them and that shows confidence in a way
Reply:Your teeth will just stay that way until one or two weeks later. Your teeth is just getting used of it. I would highly recomend you to get clear braces on top and metal braces on the bottom.

And dont get clear braces on your metal ones because that will look really bad! and it will hurt AAALLLOOTTTT! So just leave your bottom ones on!





But my friend had clear braces and she said that they took longer than her metal braces! So if you get metal braces ontop you might think your a "Brace Face", but you will be so happy that you where a brace face for a shorter time an having those "clear" Braces!
Reply:Yes, you may feel uncomfortable when you first have them on. Your mouth may also feel overwhelm by the amount of extra "stuff" it has to cover; so you'll have to get use to closing your mouth with braces on. lol I got used to them.





I don't think metal braces are that bad...kinda cute actually. But if you're going to get clear braces, stay away from curry!!! It will stain your braces and turn it yellow/orange. So eat it the day you go in for your routine check up. Also, people can still see the braces when they see you up close.





Braces are painful at first, but you'll get used to them. And they are well worth it! Good Luck!
Reply:Well... clear braces are good. But just like anyother color, take care of them, clean them out and brush your teeth. otherwise it will just look like you have plaque mania on your teeth... best of luck! =)

yeah clear on top and silver on bottom because you cant even see the bottom usually.
