How big of an effect does acne have?

Not gonna lie. I have pretty bad acne. My brother has it really bad too. So did my dad. Does it really have that big of an effect on someone's looks? I mean. I always think I'm hideous cuz of it. But I still pick up really hot chicks. Not trying to brag. I get all kinds of "hey cutie" kinda things. So is it really a big deal?

Confidence! Confidence is hands down the sexiest trait anyone can have. If you are confident with yourself and have a loving self-image, then people will take notice and more likely look past any skin condition and see you for you and who you are.





If things are not a big deal to you, they won't be a big deal to people. Think about it.. If you were completely comfortable, confident, and all smiles as you were dancing on stage in your underwear.. People would clap, people would laugh, and people would be positive.. Hell, you might even get some phone #'s out of it. - Trust me, I have. it works :P





But similarly, the opposite is true; if something is a big deal to you.. people can read that and it WILL be a big deal to them.





Think about this.. What would happen if you were way nervous and about to perform a dance you've been working on for months straight.. Your knees are shaking, your hands are sweaty, and you are panicking as you look into the sea of people in the crowd as they stare back at you.. What happens if right then, the music stops and your pants fell down to your ankles?!





Well, most people at this point would be embarrassed, shocked, frightened, and would quickly pick up their pants and run offstage with their head down.. The audience would laugh AT HIM, and make fun of that kid for the rest of the year.


Because whether they consciously realized it or not.. they just realized how embarrassing this was to him and that it WAS a big deal.





Now flip that. What if the music stops, his pants fell down, and instead of being embarrassed he decided to go with it and have fun? Instead he acts like it is all part of the act.. He not only kicks his pants off, but then rips his shirt off, swings it around his head and dances like Napolean Dynomite.





Trust me, if you were willing to do that.. The ladies would flock to you! ;)





Here's the thing.





While it sounds like you have some confidence and get some attention from the ladies.. which is great!





Your acne IS A BIG DEAL. IT'S A HUGGGGE DEAL!


Why? Because you made it a big deal. The fact that you asked shows you have doubts, concerns and are hoping to get comforted by people on here.





As if that's not bad enough you said 'I always think I'm hideous' ... That deeply hurts your self-image, self-worth, and confidence. I promise you that if that thought ever goes through you head in a day that EVERYONE you know sees it too. Whether you realize it or not, they can tell you think that about yourself.. You put out a 'vibe' without even knowing.
