I have gel nails and I want them off. My nail tech said acetone won't work for gel and they have to be filed off. Is there any other way?

Get it taken off professionally at any nail salon. They'll have the materials and they'll know how to do it properly as not to hurt your nails.

If she won't make an appointment for another nail salon to have a soak off for gel nails. There's this special stuff you use, but I don't remember the name of it :/


Anyway, acetone deff won't work, I think haha..


Nail salons are ment to take them off for you.
Reply:Try to keep them wet and oily. I would use cuticle oil. My nails are naturally slick and after a couple of weeks they just popped off. But, if you have really dry nails it will be a lot harder to get 'em off. acetone will work but you have to soak them for about 30 minutes give or take a few. Good luck!

A bad idea would be to bite them off. I mean, it's an idea, but a bad one.
