Curly or straight hair? Tan for fair skin??

Okay, I have two questions.

One: I have very fair skin. I never tan. Is their any way for me to get a tan by the sun? Not at a tanning salon.

Two: I have naturally straight hair, but when I was in the pool, I got out and let my hair air dry without brushing it out. This made my hair a curly mess! I just took a shower and I brushed my hair and let it air dry, and it has dried completely straight. What the heck?

Thanks!
Curly or straight hair? Tan for fair skin??
curly for tan and straight for fair
Curly or straight hair? Tan for fair skin??
Tan=Curls

Fair=Straight
Reply:You can get those tanning lotions, my mother used them and she grew two shades darker and she has a fair skin complexion.

%26amp;with your hair. Use scrunching gel in your hair when it is wet so it maintains the curl.
Reply:Your skin- yeah try using the sun to tan NOT tanning beds! Make sure you wear plenty of sun screen though!!! I would suggest 30 SPF so you can get a tan but still have good protection. =)

Your hair- when you brush it out it makes it straighter, especially if you have naturally straight hair
Reply:well you see when you came out of the water your hair chemically reacted when your hair and chlorine collided. Don't worry this is perfectly normal!
Reply:use some stuff to help you get darker.
Reply:well you can gradually get tan, but too much sun exposure is really bad for you skin.

dont try to use an accelerator or anything like that .

use at least SPF 30 on your skin and lay out a couple times a week..

but just be aware of the harmful rays ..

and about your hair, the chemicals in the pool just reacted differently than the cleaner water in your shower .

its normal, my hair does that too .

hope i helped.

PS - a really good sunscreen is Neutrogena SPF 30 with color boost. it has self-tanner in it so i kind of helps if you're laying out and want faster color .

Reply:there reson ur hair is a mess is that there clorox in the pool and is not good for ur hair
Reply:Same with mine its completly straight but once air dryed after swimming in the pool its all wack and curly.

Personally id stay fair, trust me its best for you in the future, just wait all those tan chicks now are going to look terrible later when it catches up to them, I would know my teacher must of tanned everyday of her life!

Her skin was orange and looked like leather aghh... i thought it was just gonna fall off!!
Reply:1) You could try using tanning oil.

2) It could have something t do with the chlorine. If you dont like it then put a dab of leave in conditioner in your hair after you first get it wet. Then you can go back in %26amp; stuff %26amp; it probably would be better.
Reply:first of all, for the tan:

i also have very, very fair skin. to get a gradual tan, i put on a thin layer of SPF 15 sunscreen and lay in the sun for 30 minutes. then i go inside and eat or watch tv or something like that for 30 minutes. then i go outside again. this is really easy to do in the summer and i get really tan after about a week of this.

for your hair:

the fact that your hair dried curly outside either had to do with how you didnt brush it out, or with the how the sun dried it. i have to wash my hair every time i go swimming or else it gets into this frizzy afroish mess. use a leave-in conditioner before you go in the pool.

good luck!
Reply:instead of tanning in the sun, go into wallmart target or even cvs and you can pick up selftanning lotions (neutrogena works great and wont turn your skin orange). when youre going to the pool, bring some leave-in conditioner for your hair. comb it through and it should look nice. the same thing happens to me all the time. hope this helps! :)
Reply:i agree with amy!
Reply:Tan: Stay out for very small amounts of time untill you've built up enough sun exposure to not get super burned. Or you could do like I did. I had really fair skin so my mom made me tan for like a week. I hate tanning beds but it did keep me from getting super burnt and now I have a natural tan from being out in the sun.

Hair: Beats me. Mine does something like that. could it be a chemical or somthing?
Reply:Tan 4 Curls

Fair 4 Straight

There is a way for you to tan, get a towel, tanning oil, lay down a towel on a hot day in your yard, get a timer set it for 20minutes spread the tanning oil all over your skin, lay out on the towel in your lawn, start the timer, when the 20 minutes is over roll over to the other side and set the timer for 20 minutes again and start it... tan for 30 seconds longer each day until you get to 40 minutes on each side, then just keep doing that for about a week, Good Luck!!
